Bakmi hockseng was one of the top 10 must eat place at medan it was operated for almost 30 years and it was specialised at their fresh rice noodle with seafood and pork it was a perfect combination, Local always come for breakfast and lunch here

The noodles is so yummy! Next door is the ASIE shop, but both these places are superb, highly recommend in Medan!

The noodle is delicious. Considering all the mini ingredient put in (prawn, pork, pork nuckle, fish filler, fish ball, oyster, egg, veggies and etc), it is very special. Only the price is abit high side.They have several branches, but this shop is the first and oldest.

For noodle, I think Jakarta is still the best. In Medan, most of the noodle places dont have a good chili for their lethal combination as in Jakarta.

Fresh and various ingredients. You can choose what kind of noodles as the base (egg,bihun,or kwetiaw noodles). The base soup is kind of saltless for me, I have to add some more raw salt and pepper. The rest, you can enjoy it as you like.
